Volleyball Recap: Rootstown Wins Going Away Against Trinity

The Rootstown Rovers got the win against the Trinity Trojans on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rovers.

While Rootstown won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-23, 25-20.

Colbie Curall paced Rootstown's offense, picking up 13 kills. Curall got some help from Kylie Shelly and her 19 assists. Finally, Curall was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Rootstown's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Rootstown will challenge John F. Kennedy Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity has already played their next game (against Laurel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
