Softball Recap: Bethel-Tate Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Bethel-Tate waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Felicity-Franklin Cardinals as they made off with an 11-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-12 back in April.

Kaylee Randolph spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Addysyn Bohl was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Ally Thompson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bethel-Tate kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.

Bethel-Tate pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Felicity-Franklin, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Coincidentally, Bethel-Tate and Felicity-Franklin will both be playing Clermont Northeastern the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Cardinals will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
