Soccer Game Preview: Cypress Springs vs. Waller

The Cypress Springs Panthers will face off against the Waller Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Springs' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 13 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Springs duked it out with Cypress Woods on Tuesday. Cypress Springs came up short against Cypress Woods, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Wildcats are ranked 111th).

Meanwhile, Waller was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Langham Creek.

Waller's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Cypress Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Cypress Springs beat Waller by a goal in their previous matchup back in February, winning 1-0. Does Cypress Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Waller turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
