Softball Preview: Hixson Wildcats vs. East Hamilton Hurricanes
Hixson hasn't had much luck against East Hamilton recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Hixson will welcome East Hamilton at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Hixson duked it out with Red Bank on Tuesday. Hixson blew past Red Bank 10-1. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Brantley Bruggink, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Robinson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, East Hamilton brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Bradley Central a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won three matches by six runs or more so far this season.
