Sunnyslope faced Corona del Sol in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Aztecs back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Sunnyslope was led to victory by Emma Easton and Lainey Johnson. Easton had 13 digs and three assists, while Johnson had ten digs and one assist.

Corona del Sol's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Adrya Vance, who had 11 digs, and Erin Clark, who had 13 digs.

Sunnyslope has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Corona del Sol, with the defeat, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 25-3.
