Recap: Carson Colts vs. Banning Pilots
The Carson Colts entered their tilt with the Banning Pilots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Carson walked away with a 60-50 victory over Banning on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Carson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Carson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Ortega, who scored 17 points. Ortega is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ezekiel Harry, who scored 16 points.
Carson's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Banning, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carson will challenge Rancho Dominguez at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Banning, they will head out on the road to face off against Narbonne at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Narbonne is on a three-game streak of home losses, Banning a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
