Soccer Game Preview: Brewer vs. Saginaw

The Brewer Bears are taking a road trip to take on the Saginaw Rough Riders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Brewer came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Fossil Ridge, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Saginaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to Azle. While losing is never fun, Saginaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 677th, while Azle are ranked 302nd).

Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for Saginaw, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Brewer was able to grind out a solid win over Saginaw in their previous matchup back in February, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
