Meanwhile, Glendale Prep Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to Scottsdale Preparatory Academy.

While Scottsdale Preparatory Academy got the win, Glendale Prep Academy sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 27-25, 22-25, 28-26.

Glendale Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Phoenix Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

Phoenix Country Day took their victory against Glendale Prep Academy in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
