It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pleasant Grove had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed past the Brownsboro Bears to the tune of 56-13. Considering the Hawks have won eight contests by more than 31 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Pleasant Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Spencer Browning, who picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Colt Yancey did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 152 receiving yards.
Pleasant Grove didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Brownsboro to a completion percentage of just 45%. The Hawks weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 33.3%.
Despite the loss, Brownsboro still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Hendricks, who picked up 115 receiving yards and one score. Hendricks got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 72 yards.
