Basketball Recap: East College Prep Wins Going Away Against New Designs University Park

On Friday, the East College Prep Spartans didn't have too much trouble with the New Designs University Park Cardinals as they won 39-25. The 39-point effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, New Designs University Park saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daviandre Davis posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Hambrick, who had six points and five boards.

The win made it two in a row for East College Prep and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for New Designs University Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East College Prep has already played their next match (against Academia Avance), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New Designs University Park will welcome Animo Robinson at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Animo Robinson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
