Soccer Recap: Montgomery Academy Comes Up Short

If Montgomery Academy was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Carver Montgomery last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats on Saturday. Montgomery Academy fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Trinity Presbyterian since on Saturday.

Montgomery Academy's goal came courtesy of Jacob Stubblefield, who's now up to 16 this season.

Montgomery Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-2. As for Trinity Presbyterian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Montgomery Academy will face off against Enterprise at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they will challenge Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Presbyterian are facing Booker T. Washington at the right time seeing as Booker T. Washington are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
