Basketball Recap: Winston Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

Winston won the last time they faced Gilman City and things went their way on Friday too. The Winston Red Birds secured a 52-46 W over the Gilman City Hawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Birds.

Winston has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Gilman City, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winston will host Hardin-Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gilman City, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mercer at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
