Basketball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Comes Up Short

Ansley/Litchfield lost against Elm Creek back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ansley/Litchfield Spartans took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elm Creek Buffaloes.

When it comes to explaining why Ansley/Litchfield lost, don't look at Luke Bailey. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Bailey is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chayton Jensen, who posted seven points.

Elm Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quin Oberg, who had 19 points and six boards. Caleb Reiter was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points.

Ansley/Litchfield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Elm Creek, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
