Softball Recap: Dublin Lions vs. Millsap Bulldogs
Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Millsap Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-7 back in March.
Olivia Salyer put in work no matter where she played. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Adriana Stewart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Nomi Thompson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Millsap, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9-1.
Dublin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-2 loss against Peaster on the 4th. As for Millsap, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Tolar on the 4th.
