Soccer Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Charleston's offense. They lost 9-0 to the Champaign Central Maroons on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Charleston of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Charleston now has a losing record of 1-2.

Charleston wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Mahomet-Seymour on the 25th. As for Champaign Central, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Urbana University on the 26th.
