Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, Del.)

Headed To: Undecided

Just a junior, DelleDonne was selected to the All-State team in Delaware for the fourth time in her career, sharing Player of the Year honors with St. Elizabeth's Khadijah Rushdan. DelleDonne averaged over 28 points per game this season, leading Ursuline (21-5) to the state championship game for the fourth-consecutive year.

Brittany Johnson

5-11/Senior/Wing

East Richland (Olney, Ill.)

Headed To: Ohio State

Illinois' Ms. Basketball, Johnson averaged 36.4 points per game this season, bringing her career total to an unbelievable 4,031 - ninth all-time in high school girls basketball history. A future Ohio State Buckeye, Johnson led East Richland (29-3) to the Class A Super Sectionals with scoring outputs of 49 and 44 in the postseason.



Jantel Lavender

6-4/Senior/Forward

Cleveland Central Catholic (Cleveland, Ohio)

Headed To: Ohio State

Lavender's 21 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks per game helped Cleveland Central Catholic (25-1) to a Division III state title. Ohio's Ms. Basketball and state tournament MVP, Lavender racked up 30 points and 25 rebounds in the regional finals against Regina, and 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 blocked shots in the championship game.

Maya Moore *

6-1/Senior/Forward

Collins Hill (Suwannee, Ga.)

Headed To: Connecticut

What else can be said about the 2006-2007 MaxPreps National Player of the Year? Moore led Collins Hill (31-0) to its third-straight Georgia AAAAA title, averaging 25.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. The Screaming Eagles compiled a 123-3 record during Moore's four years with the program.

Jasmine Thomas *

5-9/Senior/Guard

Oakton (Vienna, Va.)

Headed To: Duke

Virginia's all-time leading scorer, Thomas poured in 26 points per game as a senior and was held under 20 just once. Her efforts propelled Oakton (28-3) to the state's AAA championship game, and a 100-10 record over the course of her Cougar career. The future Blue Devil also contributed nearly eight rebounds and five assists per game.

Angie Bjorklund *

6-0/Senior/Wing-Forward

University (Spokane, Wash.)

Headed To: Tennessee

Regarded as one of the top players in state history, Bjorklund contributed 24.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for University (26-3) this season. A two-time state Player of the Year, Bjorklund helped her Titans to the 4A state championship game as a senior, a third-place finish as a junior, and a sixth-place showing as a sophomore.

Nneka Ogwumike

6-2/Junior/Forward

Cy-Fair (Cypress, Texas)

Headed To: Undecided

Teaming with freshman sister, Chiney, Ogwumike nearly led Cy-Fair (39-1) to an undefeated state championship season, coming up five points short against Rockwall in the state title game. Pegged by some as the nation's top junior, Ogwumike averaged 19.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Kayla Pedersen *

6-4/Senior/Forward

Red Mountain (Mesa, Ariz.)

Headed To: Stanford

A back-to-back Arizona Republic Player of the Year selection, Pedersen averaged 23.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in leading Red Mountain (26-6) to a 5A state title. Headed to Stanford, Pedersen broke former Cardinal All-American Nicole Powell's (Phoenix Mountain Pointe) state 5A career scoring mark with 2,611 points.



Jeanette Pohlen

6-0/Senior/Guard

Brea Olinda (Brea, Calif.)

Headed To: Stanford

Pohlen carried Brea Olinda (33-2) to California's Division II title game with 23 double-doubles on the season and averages of 22.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. Pohlen's signature performance may have come in a losing effort, putting up 30 points and 13 rebounds against eventual Division I state champ Long Beach Poly.

Khadijah Rushdan *

5-9/Senior/Wing

St. Elizabeth (Wilmington, Del.)

Headed To: Rutgers

St. Elizabeth (22-3) finally overcame Elena DelleDonne and Ursuline to win a state title this season, thanks in large part to the efforts of Rushdan, who averaged 21.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 5.1 steals per game. A five-time All-State selection, Rushdan finished her career with 2,414 points, the most in Delaware girls basketball history.

Victoria Baugh *

6-4/Senior/Forward

Sacramento (Sacramento, Calif.)

Headed To: Tennessee

The state of California finally got to see a healthy Victoria Baugh in 2007, and for those playing against her, they probably didn't like what they saw. Baugh posted averages of 17.6 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game, leading Sacramento (29-4) to the Division III NorCal championship game. The future Tennessee Volunteer had 19 double-doubles.

Haley Day

5-10/Senior/Guard

Rockwall (Rockwall, Texas)

Headed To: Southern Methodist

Day was the catalyst for a Rockwall squad that captured the Texas 5A title and became just the third team in state history to finish 40-0. The Yellowjackets featured a variety of weapons, but Day was at the center of it all, averaging 20.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

Cetera DeGraffenreid *

5-5/Senior/Guard

Smoky Mountain (Sylva, N.C.)

Headed To: North Carolina

North Carolina's Player of the Year has been compared to current UNC star Ivory Latta, and next year she will have a chance to replace her. DeGraffenreid led Smoky Mountain to a 2A state title by averaging 28.5 points, 7.7 steals, 6.5 assists, and 6.3 rebounds. Twice a first team All-State selection, she finished her career with 3,081 points.

Italee Lucas *

5-9/Senior/Guard

Centennial (Las Vegas, Nev.)

Headed To: North Carolina

One of the top scoring guards in the country, Lucas was named 4A Player of the Year in Nevada with averages of 24.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. Her 57-point postseason outburst against Cheyenne is a 4A single-game record. Lucas and Centennial (31-4) were downed by Bishop Gorman in the state title game.



Erica Morrow

5-9/Senior/Guard

Murry Bergtraum (New York, N.Y.)

Headed To: Syracuse

No Epiphanny Prince, no problem for New York's Murry Bergtraum (28-0). Morrow picked up where the current Rutgers star left off a year ago, averaging 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists per game in leading the Blazers to a Class AA state title. Morrow earned NYSSWA state Player of the Year honors.

Just a junior and already a two-time Connecticut Player of the Year, Buck collected 27 points, 12.6 rebounds, 4.4 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game for 17-6 Stonington.

Doreena Campbell

5-10/Senior/Guard

Edison (Alexandria, Va.)

Headed To: UCLA

Led Edison to back-to-back AAA championship game appearances, averaging 19.6 points per game, including a 31-point, 13-rebound performance in the state quarterfinals.

Sarita Cooper

5-5/Senior/Guard

Gentry (Indianola, Miss.)

Headed To: Undecided

Cooper averaged 15.2 points and 9.0 assists per game, leading Gentry to the Class 4A title, as well as the state's "Grand Slam" title.

Jasmine Dixon

6-0/Junior/Wing

Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, Calif.)

Headed To: Undecided

Emerged as go-to player on a loaded Jackrabbit squad, helping Poly win state's Division I state title by averaging 14.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 4.7 steals per game.

Lorin Dixon *

Christ the King (Middle Village, N.Y.)

Headed To: Connecticut

Connecticut recruit carried the torch for New York City juggernaut this season, averaging 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, earning first team All-State honors.



Mary Kathryn Govero

Headed To: Mississippi State

Scorer extraordinaire poured in 37.6 points per game this season - including 65 against Benton Academy - and finished with state record 5,015 for her career.

Rebecca Gray

Scott County (Georgetown, Ky.)

Headed To: North Carolina

Gray's 2,907 career points are a school record, while her 25.6 points per game as a senior - including 53 against Fern Creek in February - led Scott County to a 25-4 record.

Sha'Dasia Green

Paterson Catholic (Paterson, N.J.)

Headed To: Old Dominion

Floor general for 26-4 Cougars averaged 21.3 points per game, earning first team All-State honors from the Newark Star-Ledger.

Iasia Hemingway

Shabazz (Newark, N.J.)

Headed To: Georgia Tech

Named Star-Ledger Player of the Year, Hemingway averaged 17 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game for Garden State powerhouse.

Ta'Shia Phillips

Brebeuf Jesuit Prep (Indianapolis, Ind.)

Headed To: Undecided

Indiana's Miss Basketball - and the nation's top unsigned senior - averaged 21.6 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks, leading Brebeuf Jesuit Prep to the Class 3A title.

Monique Reid

Reid kept statkeepers busy this season, piling up 28.9 points per game and ripping down 16.2 boards to lead the state of Kentucky in both categories.



Marah Strickland

Towson Catholic (Towson, Md.)

Headed To: Maryland

Twice named Baltimore Sun All-Metro Player of the Year, Strickland knocked down 22.1 points per game, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.4 steals.

April Sykes *

East Oktibbeha (Crawford, Miss.)

Headed To: Undecided

A second-time selection to the MaxPreps All-American team, Sykes dominated small school ball in Mississippi, averaging 29 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks per game.

Krystal Thomas

6-4/Senior/Forward

First Academy (Orlando, Fla.)

Headed To: Duke

Opened season with 38-point, 19-rebound performance, and kept producing for 2A state champion First Academy, sporting season averages of 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Challenged Angie Bjorklund for Player of the Year honors in Washington after throwing in 26 points points per game to go along with 7.0 assists for 28-1 Conquerors.

Iowa's Miss Basketball led BCIG to consecutive appearances 2A championship games as a junior and senior, averaging 24.4 points and 11.1 rebounds this season.



Kelley Cain

St. Pius X (Atlanta, Ga.)

Headed To: Tennessee

Georgia's AAAA Player of the Year, Cain helped St. Pius X win three state titles during her career, averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds per game this season.

Sam Childs

Tualatin (Tualatin, Ore.)

Headed To: San Diego

Childs' 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.6 steals per game led Tualatin to the Class 6A quarterfinals and earned her Player of the Year accolades from The Oregonian.

Caroline Doty

Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, Pa.)

Headed To: Connecticut

Doty helped Germantown Academy to a 26-3 overall record and Inter-Academic League title by averaging 16.1 points per game, and leading the team in rebounding and steals.

Gardner shared All-CIF Southern Section Division II-A Player of the Year honors after putting up 22.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 4.2 steals per game.

Alabama's Miss Basketball, Graham contributed to four-straight 5A state championship teams at Ramsay, averaging 14.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.4 steals this season.

Georgia's Class AAAAA Player of the Year, Howard averaged 15.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game in leading South Gwinnett to the state semifinals.

Louisiana's 3A Player of the Year put up monster numbers this year en route to All-State honors for the third-straight season, averaging 25.5 points and 13.4 rebounds per game.

Kelley led the state of Nebraska in scoring this season at 24.5 points per game, carrying Lincoln Northeast to a 22-2 record and a trip to the Class A semifinals.

Charleston Catholic (Charleston, W.V.)

Headed To: High Point

Maier pulled off an impressive triple as a senior, earning state Player of the Year honors, state tournament MVP, and helping Charleston Catholic capture the Class A title.

Anne Marie Lanning

Riverdale, Tenn. (Murfreesboro, Tenn.)

Headed To: Middle Tennessee State

Lanning was named Tennessee's Miss Basketball after leading Riverdale to the state AAA title, averaging 24.4 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Laurin Mincy

Not a misprint, Mincy earned first team All-State honors as a freshman after scoring 19.3 points per game and leading University to its first-ever NJSIAA Group 1 championship.

A Class AAAA first team All-State selection, Mingo played in the McDonald's All-American Game after averaging 17 points and 6 rebounds for 26-5 Marist.

A three-time first team All-State pick, Murphy earned New Hampshire Ms. Basketball honors as a senior after racking up 25 points and 15 rebounds per game.

The key cog in Fenwick's 36-2 state championship team, Peters averaged 16.4 points and 8.4 rebounds as a senior, earning Class AA first team All-State honors.

Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, Alaska)

Headed To: Oregon State

Alaska's Class 4A Player of the Year for the third-straight season, Rhea averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists to lead the Crimson Bears to the state title game.

Jence Rhoads

Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, Pa.)

Headed To: Vanderbilt

Rhoads recorded a 42-point, 15-rebound, 10-assist triple-double Jan. 8 against General McLane and averaged 22.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game on the season.

Angel Robinson

St. Paul Central (St. Paul, Minn.)

Headed To: Marquette

State Player of the Year for what it being called Minnesota's best girls team ever, Robinson averaged 16.3 points, 5.3 assists, 4.9 steals, and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.)

Headed To: Oklahoma

Robinson, who averaged 15 points per game as a senior, helped the Monarchs compile an 88-13 record over three years, including a Division II state title this season.

Tierra Ruffin-Pratt

6-0/Sophomore/Guard

T.C. Williams (Alexandria, Va.)

Headed To: Undecided

Despite missing time with a shoulder injury sustained in January, Ruffin-Pratt helped the Titans reach Virginia's AAA regional semifinals, averaging 23.6 points per game.



Alli Smalley

Arab (Arab, Ala.)

Headed To: Auburn

A member of the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State Super Five, Smalley contributed 21.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game for the 32-5 Knights.

Madison Spence

Mayfield (Las Cruces, N.M.)

Headed To: New Mexico State

Spence will join her father's team at New Mexico State after leading Mayfield to 5A title with 25.9 points and 6.1 assists per game, earning first team All-State honors.

Da'Shena Stevens

Trinity Catholic (Stamford, Conn.)

Headed To: Undecided

Led Trinity Catholic to the Class S quarterfinals with 22 points and 15 rebounds per game, receiving first team All-State honors by the New Haven Register.

Carolyn Swords

Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, Mass.)

Headed To: Boston College

Swords, who averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds, converted over 70 percent of her field goals attempts through late February for the Division II state champion Warriors.

Sthefany Thomas

Wesley Chapel (Wesley Chapel, Fla.)

Headed To: Clemson

A Class 5A first team All-State selection and member of Argentina's Junior Olympic U-18 team, Thomas averaged 29.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 6.2 steals per game this season.

Taylor Wejnert

Holy Angels (Demarest, N.J.)

Headed To: George Mason

A first team All-State selection by the Newark Star-Ledger, Wejnert lifted Holy Angels to a 24-2 with her 22.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.



Tyra White

6-0/Senior/Forward

Hickman Mills (Kansas City, Mo.)

Headed To: LSU

White was the first Missouri girl ever to play in the McDonald's All-American Game, earning the trip by averaging 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists as a senior.

Jill Young

Mitchell Christian (Mitchell, S.D.)

Headed To: Creighton

South Dakota's all-time leading scorer with 3,318 points, Young led Mitchell Christian to a 21-1 record with averages of 29.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

Whitney Zachariason

6-2/Senior/Forward

Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, Ark.)

Headed To: Arkansas

A big-time scorer and winner, Zachariason led her Mustangs to a third-straight 4A title, averaging 25.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
