Baseball Recap: Bendle Wins Going Away Against Eastern

Bendle won against Atherton on Thursday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Eastern Quakers with a sharp 12-4 win. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Brayden Wollard was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Landon Mattis was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Bendle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .516 or higher in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Bendle's record now sits at 3-0. As for Eastern, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bendle will welcome Hamady at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to face off against Haslett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
