Magruder took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Blair Blazers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Colonels were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Blazers, so the Colonels were just returning the favor.

Magruder never let Blair on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 26-24.

Blair's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magruder will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Blake at 3:45 p.m. on the 26th. As for Blair, they will venture away from home to challenge Einstein at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
