Baseball Recap: Edgerton Takes a Loss

Edgerton was the 7-3 winner over Evergreen when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs lost 12-5 to the Vikings on Saturday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maddox Baker and Parker Elden stepped up to the plate in a big way. Baker went 2-for-4 with one home run, while Elden got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Edgerton is 4-1 when Elden posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Weaver, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Evergreen, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to a 4-4 tie later that day.
