            Baseball Recap: Jefferson Wildcats vs. Leipsic Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  12-1 to the Leipsic Vikings. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
 Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lucas Millmine, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.  Dean Trentman also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Leipsic, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will welcome Spencerville  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Leipsic, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Edgerton  at 11:00  a.m. The Vikings are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
