Volleyball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. West Panthers

Skyline is a perfect 3-0 against West since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Skyline will be strutting in after a win while West will be coming in after a loss.

Skyline will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Olympus, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

The victory didn't come easy: Olympus scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Alta, falling 3-0.

West took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

West's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Skyline, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.

Skyline took their victory against West in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
