Softball Recap: Seneca Valley's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Seneca Valley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Butler Golden Tornado. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Paige Volze was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Neve Miller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Seneca Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive contests.

Seneca Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 5.2 runs. As for Butler, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Seneca Valley has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Hempfield Area on the 7th. As for Butler, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-5 victory against Kiski Area on the 6th.
