Softball Recap: Portage Takes a Loss

Portage fell victim to Valparaiso and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 13-0. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

This is the second loss in a row for Portage and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Valparaiso, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Portage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-5 loss against Logansport on the 3rd. As for Valparaiso, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-3 win against Elkhart on the 3rd.
