            Softball Recap: Cleveland Warriors vs. Ida B. Wells Guardians        
        
		
        
        
            While Cleveland put up plenty of  runs on Tuesday, the same  can't be said for Ida B. Wells. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  13-0 margin over the Guardians. The  match marked the Warriors' most dominant  victory of the  season so far.

 Jillian Lee made a big impact no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.8  strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2. What's more,  she posted two  RBI, the most she's  had since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Anabelle Sahler and  Clara Waldron did most of the damage at the plate:  Sahler  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Waldron  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. What's more,  Waldron posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in March of 2024.  Vivian Schroedel was another key player,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Cleveland  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .536. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win (which was Cleveland's third in a row) raised their record to 4-8. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ida B. Wells, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cleveland will  face off against  rival Roosevelt  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ida B. Wells is set to  square off against  their familiar foe McDaniel  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
