It was a good run, but Pelahatchie unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Forest Bearcats, falling 45-25. The Chiefs were probably out for revenge after losing 36-32 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pelahatchie's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Forest, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Pelahatchie and Crystal Springs will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 41-23 loss against Kosciusko on the 14th.
