Softball Recap: Poly Falls Short of Chatsworth in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poly can now relate to. They fell just short of the Chatsworth Chancellors by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Parrots just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

ISABELLA NAVARRO spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Poly saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was NATALIA REYES, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Chatsworth, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-17.

Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chatsworth, they will venture away from home to face off against Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Chancellors surely won't give up without a fight.
