Baseball Game Preview: Orange County Fighting Hornets vs. Fluvanna County Flying Flucos

The Orange County Fighting Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orange County will be strutting in after a victory while Fluvanna County will be coming in after a loss.

Orange County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 10-6 win over Rappahannock County on Monday. Considering the Fighting Hornets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Fluvanna County didn't have quite enough to beat Western Albemarle on Tuesday and fell 10-9. The Flying Flucos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orange County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Fluvanna County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Orange County came up short against Fluvanna County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 7-2. Can the Fighting Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
