Football Recap: Lawrence Central Bears vs. Lawrence North Wildcats        
        
		
                                                         Lawrence Central couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell  33-26 to the Lawrence North Wildcats on Friday. Despite 75 more yards than the Wildcats, the Bears couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
 Lawrence Central's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Caron Parks, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and  Terry Walker III, who rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Nizyi Davis also helped out with an impressive 81  receiving yards.
 Even though they lost, Lawrence Central was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 274  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence North only rushed for 148.
 Even if they lost, Lawrence Central's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Robert Beasley and  Bryan Robertson who racked up  four sacks between them.
  Tanner Aspeslet had a dynamite game for Lawrence North, throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, while also rushing for 47 yards.  Davion Chandler was  Aspeslet's top target, picking up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence Central will take on Zionsville at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Lawrence North, they will head out to  face off against Fort Wayne North Side  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
