Softball Recap: Moore County Wins Going Away Against Fayetteville

Moore County won the last time they faced Fayetteville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Raiders blew past the Tigers 14-2. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Moore County got a massive performance out of Rian Ross, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Ross a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Raegan Ross, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory made it two in a row for Moore County and bumps their season record up to 6-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Fayetteville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moore County will square off against Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fayetteville, they will head out to face off against Eagleville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
