Orono is 6-1 against Jefferson since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Orono Spartans will face off against the Jefferson Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Orono is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Orono is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 90-24 victory over St. Louis Park. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 88-33, which was the final score in Jefferson's tilt against Benilde-St. Margaret's on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Red Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Orono, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

Orono strolled past Jefferson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 71-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orono since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
