Football Recap: Johnston Piles Up the Points Against Ames

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dowling Catholic, Johnston was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-14 victory over the Ames Little Cyclones. Considering the Dragons' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Johnston now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ames, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnston will host Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ames, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m.
