Richmond is 8-0-2 against Albany since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Richmond Oilers will look to defend their home pitch against the Albany Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Richmond is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Richmond's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Livermore. Given the Oilers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Cowboys are ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Albany, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Salesian College Preparatory by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Cougars' winning goal came courtesy of Armando Ramirez.

Albany pushed their record up to 5-1-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Richmond, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-4.
