Basketball Recap: Brentwood Christian Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Brentwood Christian won the last time they faced New Braunfels Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Brentwood Christian Bears came out on top against the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats by a score of 72-62. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 824th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brentwood Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryant Herring, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Herring is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Petty, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Brentwood Christian's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game.
