Baseball Recap: West Orange-Stark Comes Up Short

West Orange-Stark had lost nine straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 3-19-1 to make it ten. They lost 10-1 to the Jasper Bulldogs. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

West Orange-Stark saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tahj Amerson, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

As for Jasper, they moved to 7-17 with that victory, which also ended their 13-game losing streak. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 22nd (when they won 15-6).

On Jasper's side, Kayson Owens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

As of now, neither West Orange-Stark nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
