Softball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-1 to the Gayville-Volin Raiders. The Flyers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 13-9.

Chester has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Gayville-Volin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Chester nor Gayville-Volin have any future games scheduled.
