Grant Statz's big game helped extend Haxtun's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Statz as he rushed for 146 yards on only 15 carries.

Zach Statz's big game helped extend Haxtun's winning streak to six on Friday. Statz rushed for 106 yards on only seven carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Statz and Haxtun will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th. Statz will face off against Elijah Martin, the Eagles' star RB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Akron had to settle for second on Friday, but Anderson Filla sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Filla as he rushed for 94 yards.
If the past is any indication, Filla could be in store for another big game when he takes on Dayspring Christian Academy on Saturday. Filla rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Eagles duked it out two weeks ago.
