Softball Recap: Ash Fork/Seligman Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fort Thomas last Friday, Ash Fork/Seligman came back down to earth. Ash Fork/Seligman came up short against Northland Prep Academy on Wednesday, falling 18-7.

Eva Flores was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gracie Staples, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one double.

Ash Fork/Seligman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. Northland Prep Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Ash Fork/Seligman will challenge El Capitan at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northland Prep Academy, they will face off against Hopi at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northland Prep Academy is facing Hopi at the right time seeing as Hopi is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
