Football Recap: Jersey Comes Up Short

Jersey lost against Mascoutah back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers lost to the Indians at home by a 35-16 margin. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sean Murphy produced another solid performance rushing for 209 yards and three TDs for Mascoutah. Murphy's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Jersey's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mascoutah, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jersey will challenge Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mascoutah, they will take on Triad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
