Softball Recap: South Pasadena Has No Trouble Against Fairfax

South Pasadena got themselves on the board against Fairfax on Saturday, but Fairfax never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Lucia Atencio looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, South Pasadena let Taelyn Adams and Cassidy Lee run wild. Adams scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Lee scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Adams also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season. Natalie Kan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

South Pasadena always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfax only posted an OBP of .077.

South Pasadena's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Fairfax, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, South Pasadena will be taking part in a tournament against South Gate at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Pasadena is facing South Gate at the right time seeing as South Gate is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fairfax, they will face off against Westchester at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Fairfax's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
