Wilde Lake proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 28) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Urbana Hawks 62-60. The win was nothing new for the Wildecats as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Wilde Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dre Hoskins out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Hoskins is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Wingfield, who en route to 15 points along with eight boards and five assists.

Wilde Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Urbana's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Thompson, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Mason Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Wilde Lake pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Urbana, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Wilde Lake has already played their next match, an 84-57 victory against Glenelg on the 24th. As for Urbana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-48 win against Annapolis on the 24th.
