Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Guilford Falcons vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings

An exciting North v. South battle is about to be fought. Having just played yesterday, the Southeast Guilford Falcons will get right back to it and host the Northwest Guilford Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Southeast Guilford sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 victory over Ragsdale.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Northwest Guilford on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Page out of the water with a 49-20 final score. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 29 points or more this season.

Southeast Guilford's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Northwest Guilford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Southeast Guilford didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Northwest Guilford in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory.
