Basketball Recap: Freeport Takes a Loss

Freeport was the 47-31 winner over Mt. Ararat when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Freeport Falcons took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Ararat Eagles on Thursday. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Freeport is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Mt. Ararat, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeport and Biddeford will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. Mt. Ararat and Westbrook will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Westbrook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
