Softball Recap: Mckinley Has No Trouble Against East

McKinley won the last time they faced East and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Dragons put the hurt on East with a sharp 25-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Dragons.

Zoey Beck was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Lydiah Taylor was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

McKinley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 2.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.2.

McKinley picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-12. As for East, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

McKinley has already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Chaney on the 24th. As for East, they will welcome East Palestine at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something East will no doubt try to take advantage of.
