Roane County Wins 11th-Straight Thanks to Lane Watson

Roane County picked up their 11th consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Lane Watson. Watson was dynamite, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Roane County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Watson's next matchup is against Scott on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Wahama pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Simpkins and Wahama will square off against Sherman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Roane County picked up their 11th consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Shay Harper. Harper did his part (and then some), rushing for 49 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 55 receiving yards for the 'W'. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 55 yards.

On the season, Harper has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 87.7 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.55 rushing yards per game.
