Basketball Game Preview: St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws vs. Gautier Gators

The St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against the Gautier Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Stanislaus knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Gautier likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, St. Stanislaus was fully in charge, breezing past Port Gibson 61-25. The Rock-a-Chaws have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Gautier unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrison Central.

Gautier now has a losing record of 5-6. As for St. Stanislaus, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

St. Stanislaus came up short against Gautier in their previous matchup back in November of 2020, falling 46-34. Can the Rock-a-Chaws avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
