The Eagles came up short against the Monarchs on Friday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Margarita was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-15.

Meanwhile, St. John Bosco lost 3-0 to Mira Costa on Saturday.

Santa Margarita's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for St. John Bosco, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.

Everything went Santa Margarita's way against St. John Bosco in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Santa Margarita made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
