Southwest is only region with new No. 1 team.

After several weeks with no changes at the top of any of the regions in the MaxPreps regional high school football computer rankings, there is a new No. 1 in the southwest.
DeSoto (Texas) knocked off previous No. 1 Cedar Hill (Texas) and jumped all the way from No. 13 to No. 1 in the southwest.
All other No. 1 teams remained the same with St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) in the northeast, Colerain (Cincinnati) in the midwest, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) in the south, and Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) in the west.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country is broken down into five regions:
West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska and Montana.
Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma,and Texas.
Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
