Baseball Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale extended their losing streak to 18 on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-21. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bosco Tech Tigers. The Dynamiters were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Glendale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Herrera, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

As for Bosco Tech, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-18. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since February 21st.

On Bosco Tech's side, Aidan Ramos and Kaysen Duhamel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Ramos tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Duhamel didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Ramos went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Duhamel went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Duhamel a new career-high.

In other batting news, David Gomez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Joshua Velasquez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Coming up, Glendale will take on Hoover at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bosco Tech, they will head out on the road to take on St. Monica at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mariners have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.9 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
