Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Immanuel Christian). They enjoyed a cozy 81-62 victory over the Gadsden Panthers on Friday. The Warriors pushed the score to 57-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Immanuel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayson Chang led the charge by going 7 for 11 en route to 24 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Chang a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ben Story, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathaniel Holguin, who posted 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Alvarez, who had 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Immanuel Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 28.3% in those games and 22.5% outside of them. As for Gadsden, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Immanuel Christian has already played their next contest, a 59-33 win against Jesus Chapel on the 21st. As for Gadsden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 86-33 defeat against Organ Mountain on the 20th.
