Basketball Recap: West Muskingum Tornadoes vs. Tri-Valley Scotties
West Muskingum lost against Tri-Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Muskingum Tornadoes fell just short of the Tri-Valley Scotties by a score of 59-56. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Scotties are ranked 89th).
Despite the loss, West Muskingum saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carter Smith went 6 for 7 on his way to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Reid Lemity, who posted 11 points.
